Nezperce Russell Cemetery Policy Manual

 1.0   Preliminary

1.1       This policy manual shall be known as the NRCMD policy manual.
1.2       This policy manual will commence when adopted by the NRCMD board.
1.3       These policies apply to all cemeteries under the control of the NRCMD.
1.4       These policies do not affect any statutes in effect by the State of Idaho.

2.0 Definitions

Cemetery: Any land that is purchased or under control of the NRCMD used for the ‘purpose of interment. Standard size for a plot is 3’ by 9’.

Cemetery plot: A piece of cemetery real estate large enough for one adult plus 1 container of ashes, placed above the first interred adult.

Exclusive Right of Burial: A purchased burial plot for the exclusive right to the owner,to inter human remains in a burial space. There is no ownership of “Real Estate” as such.

Burial Warrant: A warrant to allow burial, received from the NRCMD following application on prescribed form and receipt of the correct fees and charges. Warrant will be issued to a personal representative of the deceased.

Monument Permit: A permit to allow the erection of monument issued by the NRCMD, following application on prescribed form and receipt of the correct fees and charges.

Monument: Any structure, plaque, headstone, masonry, metal work, casting or item
placed over, in or around a burial. All structures must be approved by the sexton, and monument permit issued. Monument foundation will be level with the ground.

Monument removal permit: A permit to remove a monument issued by the NRCMD.

Sexton: Person hired by the NRCMD board to oversee all cemetery burials, records, and the maintenance of all cemetery grounds and equipment.

Secretary, Treasurer: Person hired by the NRCMD board to handle the district’s elections and finances according to the Idaho Statute Title 27, Chapter 1, 27-106 and 27-123.

1
