Public Works Operator | City of Nezperce

The City of Nezperce is accepting applications for a full time Public Works Drinking Water & Waste Water Operator. The position encompasses all aspects of city water and waste water operations. Assisting with equipment, street and facility maintenance, repairs, and project work. Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Must have or willing to obtain Drinking Water Distribution Operator Class I License, Drinking Water Treatment Operator Class I License, Waste Water Treatment Lagoon License, and Waste Water Collection Operator Class I License. Other desirable skills include ability to operate backhoe, grader, dump truck (CDL a plus), gas powered sewer snakes, hand and power tools, saws and mowers. The primary function of this position is to work with the Public Works Director and other employees to plan, implement operations and services of the Public Works department which includes the wastewater treatment plant and collection system, water system and distribution, streets, park, city facilities and buildings, and general shop maintenance. This position will require a high degree of independent judgment and initiative, physical labor, knowledge of a wide range of tools and specialty equipment, and a current Idaho Driver’s license. Code Enforcement (Independent Contracted) Officer | City of Nezperce

The City of Nezperce is actively seeking a Code Enforcement Officer. The Code Enforcement Officer will conduct field inspections concerning municipal ordinance violations dealing with zoning, land use, dangerous buildings, inoperable vehicles, noise, litter, sanitation, wee complaints: works with owners informing them of requirements and to gain compliance; interviews witnesses, takes photos and document findings and activities; maintains data of prior complaints, site visits and actions taken; prepares case files and provides complete documentation to support citations, legal pleadings and/or revocation of permits and/or licenses; may testify in court.
