Arbor Day:  Wednesday, May 9 has tentatively been set as the day the City will note Arbor Day this year.
Work on the park by the reader board is planned along w/the usual free community barbecue & the presentation of the Tree City USA award.

Yard Sale Day: Saturday, May 12 has been chosen for the annual Community-wide Yard Sale Day for the City of Nezperce.  Councilmember Michelle Lyons is organizing the event this year.  Additional information will be forthcoming.

NO MORE PLASTIC AT NEZPERCE BINS:  Plastic will NO LONGER be accepted at the Nezperce Recycling bins located in the park across from the city shop.
There is no place currently accepting plastic so the city will no longer have a blue bin set up for it.
Other products will continue to be accepted in the bins.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE RECYCLING PROGRAM.  If the time is taken to smash cans, dispose the plastic bags and not throw in non-recyclable items, the program will run better for all.

(click below for more info on recycling)
RECYCLE PROPERLY PLEASE.  NO plastic bags; NO lids on bottles; NO plastic container that held fruit, mac salad, etc.
Paper bags may be left in the newspaper bin.
Things have to be physically corrected prior to the hauling of the recycling bins when the directions are not followed.
